Cambridge Advanced International Certificate of Education (AICE)
Cambridge AICE Pathway students have the chance to acquire the knowledge and skills they need to achieve at school, university, and beyond. The AICE courses at West Port provide another opportunity for students to earn college credit in high school through Advanced Subsidiary (AS) level (one year) and Advanced (A) level (2 year) courses. In June, students must take the AICE exam for their course. Exams are graded on an A through E scale, all of which can earn students college credits while still in high school.

Cambridge AICE Diploma
An AICE Diploma is awarded on the basis of exam scores and course grades. Students must take a minimum of seven courses in a three-year span with at least one course chosen from each of the three subject areas: Mathematics and Science, Language Arts, Arts and Humanities, as well as successfully completing the required Global Perspectives course. Those students who earn the AICE Diploma are eligible to receive the Florida Academic Scholars Award, which is the highest level of the Bright Futures Scholarship. Earning the AICE Diploma takes the place of the SAT and/or ACT score requirements. However, students must still document 100 volunteer or work hours, two years of foreign language courses, and complete the other academic course requirements.
